Meet Montgomery Colt
Montgomery Colt was born, raised, and still lives in Saskatchewan, Canada. He grew up on a cattle ranch, so he has a personal connection with the kinds of settings he writes about. Colt also received a degree in Agricultural Engineering and worked on projects in information technology, geology, and water management. Unsurprisingly, he is inspired by traveling, including to the parts of the West featured in his novels, and learning about history.
Colt lives with his wife of forty-five years. They have three adult children and two grandchildren. When not working on Scissors, the third novel in his Rock Paper Scissors series, Colt enjoys reading, playing golf, watching sports, attending local jazz or pops concerts, and—like his character John Barringer—using his carpentry skills.
